Papers for proof,
Ink for solidification –
Our words mean nothing,
Yet our signature is a testimony.
They ask for fingerprints
To differentiate between us
While we stand in queues
Waiting to be recognized.
And finally,
When the papers are passed from hand to hand
Holding thousands of signatures and stamps,
We are asked for one last thing:
To pay for the final product, and wait.
